Movie: Heat
A towering work of 1990s cinema, Michael Mann’s explosive LA crime epic Heat is perhaps the formative cat-and-mouse film of the last thirty years. Following the efforts of a tenacious detective chasing down a dangerous career criminal, it is a captivating story of obsession, addiction, and the murky relationship between the law and the lawless. Moody, intense and action-packed, it boasts the first on-screen pairing of Al Pacino and Robert De Niro, as well as an ensemble cast including Val Kilmer, Ashley Judd, Tom Sizemore, and Wes Studi.
Showtime begins at 6:00 pm with a discussion afterwards at about 8:45.
