How to get started...

For Ages 0-12

• Join us at our Summer Reading Club Launch on June 13 from 10 am to 2 pm at the Wakamow and MJ Shriner's Annual Children's Festival and get your Summer Reading Club information package. If you can’t make it to the Festival you can pick up your information package anytime during the summer at the Library Circulation desk!

• Borrow material from the Library or read books you have at home. Start counting the number of minutes you spend reading or listening to stories using your bookmark as a reading log.

• Complete your bookmarks (2 clocks = 120 minutes) and return them to the Library for an entry for the three weekly prizes*. Each bookmark submitted gets you one ballot for the weekly prize draw.

• Keep reading or listening to stories and colouring in your clocks. You can enter for the weekly draws all summer long! You can get more bookmarks each time you visit the Library!

• Every time you visit the library with your completed bookmarks you can pick a small prize from the loot box (one small prize per VISIT not per bookmark).

 For Ages 8-12 ONLY

• Once per VISIT, kids 8-12 years old can gain an additional ballot for the weekly draw if they have completed a four word review sheet for a book they have read (extras are available at the circulation desk).

*There will be three weekly prizes each week from June 13 to September 5 with the first prize draw on Monday, June 22. Prize winners will be contacted each week. There will also be small prizes for each visit to the library with your completed bookmarks (one small prize per VISIT not per bookmark). 

You can pick up your instructions, bookmarks, and four word review forms at the Library or download them and print at home (available for download June 12).
