Who: For ages 0-10

When: Starting June 14 and running until September 6

How: Come to the library to pick up your Summer Reading Club Information package! Use your globe bookmarks to track the number of minutes you spend reading or listening to stories over the summer! You can also complet a Passport for entries into the Summer Reading Club grand prize!

  How to get started...

• Come to our launch party on June 14 from 1-3 pm and get your Summer Reading Club information package. If you can’t be at the launch party you can pick up your information package anytime during the summer at the Library Circulation desk!

• Borrow material from the Library or read books you have at home. Start counting the number of minutes you spend reading or listening to stories using your globe bookmark as a reading log.

• Complete your bookmarks (2 globes = 120 minutes) and return them to the Library for an entry for the three weekly prizes*. Each bookmark submitted gets you one ballot for the weekly prize draw.

• Keep reading or listening to stories and colouring in your globes. You can enter for the weekly draws all summer long! You can get more bookmarks each time you visit the Library!

• Every time you visit the library with your completed bookmarks you can pick a small prize from the loot box (one small prize per visit NOT per bookmark).

• Complete your Summer Reading Club passport and get your name in for the grand prize draw at the end of the summer! You will receive one grand prize ballot for each continent you complete and one when you are done the entire passport.

*There will be three weekly prizes each week from June 14 to September 6. Prize winners will be contacted each week. There will also be a grand prize draw at the end of the summer for those that submit their completed passports as well as small prizes for each visit to the library with your completed bookmarks (one small prize per visit NOT per bookmark).
